Includes two carburetor adapters that will convert the manifold’s two, two bolt one barrel carburetor manifold flanges to two, three bolt two barrel carburetor flanges (Stromberg, Chandler Grove & Holley). The manifold pictured is the first version of this V8-60 manifold and was produced prior to WWII. A second version with the classic Eddie Meyer tear drop logo placed between the carburetor stands is also available at the same price.

This cam-driven angle drive is specifically designed for use with 1932 to 1948 Ford flathead V8 engines, including the 1937 to 1940 Ford V8-60. It can also be used on a 1949 to 1953 Ford 8BA flathead V8 engine by utilizing an early 1939 to 1948 crank gear, camshaft and timing cover in place of the stock 1949 to 1953 crank gear, camshaft and timing cover. This cam-driven Dual Vertex Angle Drive is one of the rarest aftermarket Ford flathead V8 engine accessories ever manufactured! It is specifically designed to be used on a 1932 to 1948 Ford 59A flathead engine utilizing cylinder heads with two spark plugs per cylinder, such as the ELCO twin spark plug cylinder heads we reproduce (page 14). This dual vertex angle drive is a 100% accurate reproduction of an accessory drive originally introduced in the early to mid-1950. It will accommodate two four cylinder Vertex magnetos for a single plug cylinder head application or two V8 Vertex magnetos for a twin plug application. The Vertex magnetos shown are for demonstration purposes only, and are not included with the angle drive.

Unlike other dual magneto angle drives like the Barker, it positions the Vertex magnetos in a nearly vertical position, thus eliminating a lot of interference problems with fan belts and other external engine accessories. It is the ultimate conversation piece in a world of aftermarket Ford flathead V8 speed equipment! Because of its high cost of manufacture, it is produced in a very limited quantities. Developed prior to WWII by highly respected, Southern California race car mechanic and automotive engineer Mal Ord, ORD products were designed specifically for use on 1939 to 1948 Ford flathead V8 engines. Originally designed by Italian manufacturer, Italmeccanica, of Turin, Italy, for use on a post WWII flathead powered Italian sports car of the same name that never went into full production. Italmeccanica is, perhaps, best known as the original Italian manufacturer of the iconic Ford flathead “Italmeccanica” and “S.Co.T.” superchargers. Cast in either Alcoa 356 aluminum or magnesium on special order. This pan comes complete with its own louvered metal windage tray and extended length dipstick.
